Classroom Technology Use
- Bring a fully charged Chromebook and charger daily.
- Use devices for classwork or teacher-approved activities.
- Students missing their Chromebook can use a loaner, which must stay in class; families are responsible for damage or loss if loaner is damaged.
- Repeated forgetfulness or failure to charge devices will be addressed by staff.
Proper Use
- Use devices for educational purposes, research, and assignments.
- Access approved websites and collaborate appropriately.
- Communicate with teachers for school-related matters.
Prohibited Use
- Playing games, streaming entertainment, or social media during class (unless approved).
- Installing unauthorized software or trying to bypass security.
- Avoid adult, violent, hateful, or illegal content.
Security & Network
- Create strong passwords and log out on shared devices.
- Connect only to school Wi-Fi; and report security issues.
- Use respectful language online and practice good digital etiquette.
AI Usage
We believe that the use of AI is an important part of the learning process, when used appropriately. All students are required to demonstrate their own thinking, reasoning, and comprehension in all academic work submitted.
- Use AI tools for brainstorming, learning, or formatting with teacher approval.
- Do not submit AI-generated work as your own or use AI to complete assignments without permission.
- Avoid AI for solving math problems or cheating.
