Athletics at King Policy

Students must be in good standing in grades, attendance and behavior in the quarter or quarters they are participating in sports. This includes the quarter in which they signed up for the sport.

Intramural participation is a privilege. It is an honor to represent the school at competitions. However, our primary commitment is to the academic success of each student. Therefore, a standard has been set which is consistent with that goal.

FALL SPORTS

Volleyball

• Co-ed Volleyball Try Outs in process - Season begins September 17th.
• Co-ed Volleyball Season - Begins September 17th - Ends October 29th.
• Please have your student join the volleyball google classroom to receive all relevant information including the complete schedule.
• Practices will normally be held on Monday & Tuesday 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM, Wednesday 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM.
• Games are usually on Wednesday 3:00 - 5:00 PM (MLK has a bye week on October 15th).

 

 

Co-ed Flag Football

• Co-ed Flag Football Try Outs in process - Season begins September 17th - Ends October 29th.
• Please have your student join the flag football google classroom to receive all relevant information including the complete schedule.
• Practice schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays 3:15 PM - 5:00 PM.
• Games are usually on Wednesday 3:45 - 5:45 PM.

WINTER SPORTS

Basketball

• Girls and Boys Basketball Try Outs: Boys September 11th from 3:00 - 4:00 PM; Girls September 12th from 3:00 - 4:00 pm.
• Please have your student join the basketball google classroom to receive all relevant information including the complete schedule.
• Girls and Boys Basketball Season: Begins November 5th - Ends February 11th

 

 

 

 

 

Soccer

• Girls and Boys Soccer Try Out start soon - Students should join the soccer google classroom as soon as possible for updates.
• Girls and Boys Soccer Season- Begins February 25th - Ends May 20th
• Games are usually on Wednesdays 3:30-5:30

• Co-ed Softball Season- End of March
